Guy Stuff

Posted On: 15. 03. 16

I taught a class recently that was all about the guys we love.  Husbands, fathers, boyfriends, sons, grandsons, grandfathers, pastors, nephews, you name them and we created a card for them.  LOL We used Guy Greetings,  The Wilderness Awaits and Traveler Stamp Sets, to create some great masculine cards.

Here are a few of them.

Guy Woodland Duck

First Card of 2016

Posted On: 10. 01. 16

What was your first card of 2016?  My 5 year old son and I created this card for his sweet little bestie who turned 6 not long after the beginning of the new year.  My son loves to sit with me and scroll through Pinterest and look at Punch Art Cards.  He is obsessed and always is asking, “Do you own that punch Mom?”  (The answer is usually, Yes!) Then he responds, “Yes, that means we can make it.”  He really is totally adorable and you can see a picture of him on my Stamping.Cards pinterest page, I photobombed him on his birthday last year.  LOL

Here is what we came up with after some huge Pinterest Inspiration.DoggieHDay6

I loved it so much,  I made a second one, to keep and display.  Happy 6th Birthday C-man!!!

The number and stamp on the card are from our brand new product suite: Number of Years Bundle – $60.25 (stamps and framelits at 15% off). It was one of the first products, I had to have from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Always Impressing and ONStage Local

Posted On: 01. 12. 15

One of the things, I have loved about being a Stampin’ Up demonstrator for 12.5 years is the camaraderie and friendships I have made with other demonstrators.  Here we are at OnStage Local in Missausauga, Ontario.  It was a very fun filled day.  Stampin’ UP spoiled us rotten with give aways: a planner, a water bottle,  free stamp sets, make and takes, PLUS – prize patrols!!!!!  Extra free goodies!!!!

A night out with friends, a lovely dinner and stamping is a terrific way to re-charge and return to your family re-energized.  This is just what I needed the day before my birthday. Thank you Stampin’ UP! and thank you ladies!

The VERY Best group of demonstrators there is!

Here is a make and take we created with the Going Places product suite.  Available in the Occasions 2016 catalogue.

Don’t you love it?

Sleighride Edgelits

Posted On: 17. 11. 15

Sleighride1

It is beginning to cool down outside, it has been a terrific fall here in Ontario.  In other words, NO s#@w!!! I can’t even say the s-word! LOL I really dislike winter and have always said that I was born too far away from the equator. 🙂  However, I do so love these cards that are made with the Sleighride Edgelits from Stampin’ Ups Holiday catalogue.  These edgelits give a crisp sharp edge, with minimal detail but with the feeling of depth none the less.

These cards will be featured at my up coming Christmas Card Buffet.  Let me know if you would like a mail order kit of any card that you see in my blog.  I would be more than happy to help you.Sleighride2

Celebrate Today Gift Packaging Ensemble

Posted On: 27. 09. 15

This Celebrate Today gift packaging ensemble was for a very good friend of mine.  Her birthday was recently and we celebrated by going out for supper together. It was really fun to make Celebrate Today coordinating items for her gift: the card, wine bottle tag and gift bag tag.  I plan on making more of these to sell at up coming craft fairs.  It makes for a terrific presentation.

Celebrate Today stamp set is available as a BUNDLE and you know what that means, extra 15% savings for you. Celebrate Today is only available as a photopolymer set, it is totally see through, which makes lining up the images super easy.
Celebrate Today Gift Ensemble

You can make birthday cards, wedding cards, baby cards and graduation cards with the Celebrate Today stamp set. It is super versatile and a fantastic value.
Celebrate Today Birthday Card

To stamp the two tone balloons, you ink the entire stamp with the base colour, then use a sponge dauber along one edge of the stamp (before) stamping to add the second colour of ink to the stamp. Then you stamp the image onto whisper white card stock while both colours of ink are still wet. Be sure to add the shadow/second colour on the same side of both balloons, otherwise, your card will look off balance. You will then heat emboss with gold embossing powder on the top of your balloons. Add a little sweetness with a little linen thread bow attached with a mini glue dot and add a little bling with the gold sequin trim attached with the mini handheld stapler.

The gift tag and the wine bottle tag used the same technique as the card with the use of the Banners framelits for the trendy shape.

I hope you like my Celebrate Today Gift Packaging Ensemble!  I do! 🙂 I will be adding these to all my future gifts.

Remember to inspire, create and share.  Let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear from you.

Happy Stamping to you all!

Hello You Thinlits Card

Posted On: 14. 09. 15

It may seem like I have been on a bit of an anti stamping binge lately, but the truth is that I have been outside enjoying summer and when I did come in to stamp, I wanted to complete my projects quickly. I am playing catch up with you all here, so that you can see what I was creating over the summer months.  Not much time to blog when the kiddos (and I) wanted to go to the beach.  I did still teach classes over the summer and most of the cards you will see in the next few blog posts will be about those cards.

Hello You Thinlits

It is a rainy fall day here and my hubby took the kids to go ice skating, for real!! It was a quick transition to winter sports for my family. LOL Our youngest is starting to play hockey in a month or so and we want to make sure his skating skills are on point.  We have a terrific wellness centre in this area and we take full advantage of it .

On to my Hello You thinlit card.  Isn’t it cute?  The Hello You thinlits are a set of three words; hello, thanks and you, that you use with your Big Shot.  They also coordinate with the Crazy About You stamp set – also available in wood mount and photopolymer.  I chose to use the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and stamp a butterfly repeated on on the background paper in Basic Black ink. I am using some Irresistibly Yours paper that is retired, but you can get the same effect with the Colour Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper.

I then sponged Pink Pirouette ink all over the background paper to soften the black butterflies and to colour the paper, as it was originally white.

I added a strip of White Satin Ribbon, punched out a Bitty Butterfly and an Elegant Butterfly and  layered them together, with Pearls as an embellishment on the body of the butterfly.

Cardstocks used are: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and you can substitute the Colour Me Irresistible as your background paper.
