Happy Mail!!!! My mailbox and my heart were happy this morning when I received three pieces of happy mail from friends. Thank you Catherine Sanders, Dana and Claudette! Love these!!! ... See MoreSee Less
I am still creating with the Polished Stone Technique. This time I used three different blends and left a stripe down the middle. This will allow me to add a fun sentiment. I also changed up the glue used to add the Gilded Leafing. I wasn’t as happy with the final result using the Fine Tip Glue pen, it spread in some areas too much. I will stick to the Multipurpose glue from here on. ... See MoreSee Less

I am loving this technique! Stampin' Blends and alcohol blending, all topped by some veining with the gold leafing.
I will demo this technique in a Facebook live tomorrow. Supplies needed are: Stampin Blends, 90% isopropyl alcohol (higher percentages work also), vellum card stock, basic white cardstock, paint brush or blending brush, adhesive sheets, gilded leafing, tombo glue and sponge, a small sliver of a make up sponge will do or a small piece of the retired stamping sponges.
This is so much fun. Can't wait for you to join me at noon tomorrow. ... See MoreSee Less
Gorgeous! Reminds me of geodes!!

Here are the final four cards I created with the April Paper Pumpkin kit.
The first photo is a card using the instructions included in the kit. The next three are alternate cards created with the printed pieces and the last with the only the extra stamps in the kit.
The notecards and ribbon are from my personal supplies and the watermelons were coloured with our blends, Real Red and Old Olive. I think this one is my favourite. Which is your favourite card?

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards
After I cut the backing off the first ice cream shaped card, I took the shaped piece and traced it onto the back of the rainbow glimmer paper and a piece of Sweet Ice Cream designer series paper. I cut these pieces out and created two additional popsicles.
These are really sweet and sparkly in real life. One card is highlighted with Bermuda Bay and the other is Melon Mambo.
I really love how these alternate cards turned out.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin stamp set.

Let’s look at April’s Paper Pumpkin kit. The first two pictures show the pieces of this kit. Every kit has an ink spot and a stamp set, ribbon and/or bakers twine, glue dots and/or foam Dimensionals and all the pieces and envelopes for the project.
The third photo shows the original project on the left and my alternate card on the right. ... See MoreSee Less
Let’s talk Paper Pumpkin.
I will be honest and say that I don’t purchase this kit every month. I watch for the kits that capture my interest and Stampin Up has been great at giving you a sneak peek at what is coming up. I love the flexibility of choosing the months that are right for me and suspending the months where my interest isn’t peaked.
The advertising for April’s kit convinced me that I needed this one and it didn’t disappoint.
Stay tuned for the projects and alternate projects that I created with April’s kit.

The Gorgeous Posies Card Kit is on sale right now for $35.20. (Reg. $44.00) I thought it would pair beautifully with the Strong and Beautiful stamp set which is on the Last Chance Clearance site.
These make stunning Mother’s Day cards and the sentiments in the Strong & Beautiful stamp set add just the perfect sentiment and fabulous options for the verse inside the card. You simply stamp the sentiment and assemble.
The kit comes in a GORGEOUS gift box and includes all pieces needed for the card. You stamp with the sentiment with your chosen ink Colours. I used Rich Razzleberry, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Blushing Bride.
Adhesives are not included in the kit.
Don’t miss out on this stunning kit.
Tip: The ribbon was quite wrinkled. I set my iron on the nylon setting (very low heat) and ironed out the wrinkles. Worked like a charm.

Here are some of my cards, inspired by Catherine, my upline at Stampin Up. I had a stack of small pieces of designer series paper that I wanted to use. When I want to “use up” paper, I give myself leeway to pull in retired items, ribbon and colours.
Here are some of the cards using the retired Berry Delightful designer series paper.

These are cute, Carolyn. I have a baby shower card to make for Saturday, and this is the SS I plan to use. Hate that it is retiring already, but I will be keeping mine! ☔️

You are sooo awesome!!!
Wowee girl you’re on fire!
Lovely! Got the stamp set and punch but yet to use it!!
I have been using some products that are retiring very soon.
My purpose is to make simple cards with the retiring In Colours, use the beautiful Champagne Mist shimmer paint-147044 that won’t be in the next catalogue.
Other retiring items incorporated on these cards are the Forever Gold specialty designer series paper -152494 and the metallic gold edged ribbon -144146.
